About the operation

A small fleet, run like a precision instrument.

A modern black semi-truck parked at a logistics yard

Power-only, by design.

"Power only" means we run the tractor. The trailer belongs to the shipper, the broker, the rail, or the port. We pick it up, we move it, we drop it. No trailer ownership means no idle capital sitting in a yard — and no excuses when one isn't where it should be.

Blacktop Titan LLC was set up to do one thing well: keep the equipment we have running, keep the driver paid honestly, and keep the broker's phone call returned.

  • One late-model tractor, professionally maintained in-house weekly
  • ELD: Motive (formerly KeepTruckin), with daily DVIR submission
  • Driver qualification files, MVRs and medical cards renewed on cycle
  • Authority: MC 1816799 · USDOT 4568413 — both active, no out-of-service orders
How we operate

Discipline shows up in the details.

A carrier's reputation is built load by load. Here is the standard we hold ourselves to, every week.

Pre-trip, every trip

Daily DVIRs in the Motive app. Walk-around, lights, tires, fifth wheel, brake lines, securement. Anything that flags goes to the shop before the truck leaves the yard.

HOS by the book

Property-carrying drivers, 70hr/8day cycle. Logs are pulled by safety monthly and reviewed at every quarterly internal audit. No ELD edits after the fact unless annotated.

Communication that returns itself

Quote requests get a same-day reply. Check calls every 4 hours on long hauls. If a delay is brewing, dispatch hears about it before the broker does.

Paperwork, the day of

PODs and BOLs scanned and uploaded the same day the load is delivered. Rate cons match the contract. Invoicing on a 15-day net, consistently.

Insurance, current and on file

Primary liability $1M, cargo $100K. Certificates of insurance available on request — the COI is in the carrier packet, not "we'll get it to you".

Driver pay, settled weekly

Loaded and empty miles both paid, by the mile, with documented driving periods behind every dollar. Settlements reviewed by the owner before the bank file is cut.

Lanes & coverage

The Southeast is home. The Northeast is a regular run.

Southeast (primary)

GA, FL, AL, TN, NC, SC, VA. Recurrent shuttles out of Savannah port, Atlanta-area DCs, and Charlotte cross-docks.

Northeast (secondary)

NJ, PA, NY, MA on a regular rotation. Typically paired with a Southeast origin load for the return — the truck never runs empty unpaid.

Midwest (select lanes)

OH, KY, IN for specific contracted accounts. Available for ad-hoc freight that pairs cleanly with a primary lane.
